You will be assigning a user or group (the user belong to the group) to the system role Generate Events

 

Note the process to Manage Jobs (to stop running subscriptions or ad hoc report) use the same process below and check Manage Jobs

 

 

 

Steps

 

1.If permission are assigned to a group create/edit the windows group. Add users to the group who need to rerun subscriptions

 If permissions are assigned to a user ignore step 1

2.Create/edit a system role adding the Generate Events task

3.Assign system role to the user /group created in step 1

 

In SSRS the security process is

 

 Add task to system role

 assign a user/group to  system role

 

 

         user /group > system role > system task

Best Practice:

 

 

1.Create windows group eg SSRS_Rerun_Subscriptions

2.Create a new system role called Rerun Subscriptions

3.Add only the task Generate Events to the system role Rerun Subscriptions

4.Assign the group SSRS_Rerun_Subscriptions to have the system role Rerun Subscriptions

5.If you only want to give certain users the rights just to rerun subscriptions create another system role
